Who will you be joining?
You will be joining a leading specialist equipment distributor as a dedicated Finance Manager and #1 in Finance on-site, reporting to an offsite Financial Controller. This is an excellent opportunity to add value through strategic analysis, improve financial processes, and bridge the gap between finance and operations. Planned organisational change and growth will also provide this role with career progression toward FC / Head of Finance level.
What will you be doing?
As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely financial information to support key business decisions. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Preparing monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.
- Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, and monitoring performance against these.
- Conducting variance analysis and providing insightful commentary to the Financial Controller.
- Managing the ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
- Supporting the year-end audit process.
- Working with other departments to understand their financial needs and provide guidance.
- Ensuring all financial reporting adheres to relevant compliance, legal, and company policies.
Why would you be a good fit?
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a strong foundation in accounting principles. The ideal candidate will have:
- A professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent) or be actively studying towards one.
- Proven experience in a management accounting or financial management role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
- Proficiency in accounting software (ideally Dynamics 365) and strong Excel skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

- Starting base salary of £40,000 - £55,000 depending on experience and qualification.
